ALSO...

Another forthcoming movie of interest is Peter Hujar's Daywhich just had it's premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. Written and directed by Ira Sachs and starring Ben Whishaw and Rebecca Hall as photographer Peter Hujar and writer Linda Rosenkrantz respectively, during the 1970s, the film is based on a transcript of a conversation recorded by Rosenkrantz in which Hujar describes what he did in the course of a day in 1974. This transcript was initially made into a book, published by Magic Hour Press, and the movie, which initially was conceived as a short, developed out of that. Sachs describes the movie as "a film about what it is to be an artist among artists in a city where no one was making any money". Sound familiar? Plus ca change.
